Preparation
Very little preparation to the surface of the tarmac or asphalt is required as Smartseal Tarmac Liquid Crack Filler is extremely easy to use. Prior to filling just ensure any loose dirt, organic growth or aggregate is scraped out from the crack. Do not use in wet or cold conditions below 5°C
Application:
Mix the tarmac crack filler well before and decant the liquid into a spouted jug. For cracks up to 3mm, sweep or scrape out loose debris and pour into the cracks using the spouted jug. For cracks 3mm - 25mm wide: prime the sides of the crack with a thin coat of the crack filler. Mix the liquid tarmac crack filler with damp sand to produce a slightly stiff mortar and paste into the crack. Smooth off and allow to dry.
Drying time will depend on weather conditions and the size of the crack being repaired. Allow approximately 24 hours for cracks up to 3mm and an average of 8-10 hours for cracks around 25mm. Try to ensure the surrounding temperature is warm and dry to avoid possible complications. Although some dampness can be tolerated, it is always best for the crack being repaired to reasonably dry during the application of the liquid crack filler for tarmac.
TarmaSeal provide a national delivery service for Tarmac Restorer, Crack Repair Compound, Cold Lay Repair, Driveway Cleaner and Green Clear on a standard 2 - 4 working day basis. Dependent on weight, this is normally done by pallet or parcel carrier.
If you need products delivered quicker, for a small additional charge, orders placed before 1.30 pm can be delivered within 1 - 2 working days to most parts of the UK, although this is dependent on the courier service in your area and the product/s ordered.
